It all started on December 10th, 2022, with a Hinge match and a “coffee date”—despite neither of us liking coffee. Katie had just moved back to Pittsburgh after a stint in Boston, while Ryan was embracing city life in a 550 sq. ft. apartment living with his brothers. Romance at its finest.

Over the weeks and months that followed, we quickly discovered how much we had in common. We connected over being one of four siblings, being products of Catholic schools with solid basketball programs (some more successful than others), and both with an insatiable need to try every restaurant in the Greater Pittsburgh area. It wasn’t long before our once a week meetups turned into multiple hangouts per week, and then daily adventures.

Our love story has taken us across the map—from SoCal to the Jersey Shore, Sarasota to Myrtle Beach, Boston to Chicago, Nashville, and beyond. We’ve even survived a travel saga that involved five airports in 24 hours (a story for another day). Somewhere along the way, we built an unbreakable bond—and got the stamp of approval from our very large families.

Fast forward 22 months from that first coffee-less coffee date and we were engaged. Since then, we have been full steam ahead planning our future and counting down to August 23rd, 2025. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of our favorite people!
